" in any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing." - Theodore Roosevelt i think that what this means, is that when you do the right thing, thats the best thing you can do. it also means, that when you can choose between doing whats right and doing whats wrong, the right thing would be the best to do. i think that this is true. doing the right thing always makes you feel good. and it is also very obvious that doing what is right is the best decision. doing the wrong thing isnt good and it will not leave you feeling good after either.

" nothing is ever gained in doing whats wrong."- Wilford Woodruff  i think this means that if you do something wrong, you wont gain anything positive out of it. when you do wrong, only negative things happen after. when you do something right, many positive things can happen. it is much more worth it to do whats right then whats wrong. the wrong things can bring you negative consequences . when you do the right thing, you will feel better and not have to worry about so much. an example would be cheating on a test. you may get the grade but you wont gain anything other than that, you still wont know the material. if you study you get the material and the grade. so overall its better to study because youre able to gain more.

" its a great moment when someone has character to step up and do the right thing at the right time." what this quote means is that its good when someone steps up to do something when they know something should be done. a lot of people will stand around and not do anything so its good when someone does something. i think that its good when someone does these things. it shows that they have very good character. it may also show that they are very good people. if i see something happening that shouldn't, i always say something. i think that this is an important thing to do. sometimes these people need someone to help them or speak up for them. it also can make you feel a lot better. its important that you speak up for whats right and also do whats right at all times.

" - Alexander Hamilton this means not to ever break your promises. a lot of people will promise things but not keep up with their promises , they will easily forget them or not do what they said. you can promise something but you have to do as you said. you cant just promise something for no reason you have to make sure you have a good reason. when a promise is broken, a person might lose trust in you. this might happen because it shows youre a liar and no one likes a liar.

" goodness is the only investment that never fails." - Henry David Thoreau what this means is that what we do good, will be good for us. no matter what we do, if its good then we can benefit from it more than doing bad. doing bad will do nothing but cause us to get into trouble that will not benefit us. doing good is a lot easier than doing bad. sometimes it can be a little harder, but its worth it in the long run. if you do something bad, that can determine your whole life. on the other hand, if you do something good, that can also determine your life, but in a more positive way. i think it always feels better to do the right thing rather than doing the wrong thing.

my basic principle is that you don't make decisions because they are easy; you don't make them because they are cheap; you don't make them because they are popular; you make them because they are right." - theodore hesburgh This means make good decisions and always choose what you do correctly. this also means don't do something because you feel like you have to, or because everyone is doing it. do things out of kindness and because you know that they are good things. don't make bad decisions just because everyone else is making those decisions. make sure you do good things because you want to do them out of kindness. for example don't do something bad because its easier or faster, when you could do a little more and do whats right. so basically it means always do whats right no matter what.
